Services
The Incubator provides both services and physical space tailored to small, expanding, or relocating businesses.
Businesses requesting admission into the Incubator will be at varying stages of growth. For those in early stages of development, the business services and physical space provided by the Incubator program can prove critical to producing a sustainable business. The development of a quality marketing plan or revisions to a current business plan, in addition to workshops and seminars on how to build a business, will be crucial services for early-stage clients. More developed businesses can benefit most from services like marketing assistance, help obtaining financing, and information on obtaining government contracts.
Because clients are at such varying stages of development, the Incubator provides two programs for clients to choose from:
- The Resident Program is designed for clients who require physical space, in addition to Incubator services.
- The Affiliate Program will serve nonresidential clients, where only services are rendered.

Networking opportunities
The Incubator has identified networks of expertise for the incubator clients consisting of faculty, staff, and students at NMSU; professionals with business expertise in the community; and local professional service and economic development organizations in New Mexico. The Arrowhead Center staff continues to cultivate these networks to provide the best services to the Incubator clients, based on their needs and requests.
Workshops
Entrepreneurship seminars and programs, many of which are already in existence through the Arrowhead Center, College of Engineering Verge Lecture Series, Small Business Development Center, and SCORE, provide educational content and networking opportunities for clients as well as pre-incubation clients. These educational opportunities for potential and existing clients teach the practical skills needed for a start-up or early-stage business and include requirements for success, determining the market, writing a business plan, establishing an effective management team, identifying barriers to market entry, financing the business, and partnering with venture capitalists.
